the 50 year Reunion in 2010
is planned and ready to go!

Dear RHS Class of 1960:

Because of a lack of space in the invitation material, several items need clarification. Our ultimate aim is to get all of us together safely and happily. To that end, here are some tips for you:

1. It is always faster, cheaper, easier and greener to send us your Classbook contact and bio information online.
   • Email your stuff to Shirley Stout Hudleson and her husband Bruce at Classbook@cfl.rr.com .
   • Alternatively, fill out the card in your invitation and send it by snailmail to Dave Ackerman in the self-addressed envelope in your invitation and shown below; if you need more space, attaching a separate sheet is fine.
   Remember, you will receive a Classbook with your tickets to the Saturday night and Sunday events; the books may also be purchased at check-in and through the mail for $15 orders/checks to Dave Ackerman, address in Invitation.


2. We also need your updated cell phone number for the Classbook so that others may reach you during the reunion weekend, no matter which events you attend or where you are staying. Please include it along with current name(s), address(es), phone number(s), email address, current photo and bio. If you want real estate information about your old Ridgewood address, send that, too.
   
   
3. When you call the hotels for reservations don't forget to mention
   the Ridgewood High School Class of 1960 Reunion
   block of rooms. They are usually lower priced than a regular booking. The blocks of 20-30 rooms are held, variously from July to September. Ask them for directions or online links to help you get there. Make your reservations as soon as possible. If need be, they can be canceled.
   
   
4. There are many generous classmates who have sent donations to help with our expenses for which we are all very grateful. Other than basic costs, these contributions are available to help with the following:
   
   ***** Financial Assistance: If you or anyone you know will have budgetary difficulty attending the events or staying in the local hotels, please, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Bonnie Fingado at bonnie@bonafidestaffing.com or call her at 732-450-1166. She will put together needs and funds in total confidence. There are a couple of unique grants, including one "Jersey Boys" ticket. The tickets must be bought by 6/26/10, so please do not delay in reaching out to her if you'd like to see "Jersey Boys" with your classmates but need financial help.
   
   
5. THE MORE DONATIONS WE RECEIVE THE BETTER THE REUNION AND THEM MORE PEOPLE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HELP.

6. ***** Van Service: The committee is investigating the possibility of hiring a dedicated van to take people from hotels to Arcola CC and back on Saturday night. If we have enough money available we will try to add additional routes. Both clubs offer easy access and ample parking, and Ridgewood CC has valet parking.
   
   
7. Everyone will need to check in first at Barbara White French's house in Ridgewood to pick up their tickets and other area information. For instance, did you know Ridgewood now has about 50 restaurants? Someone will be at Barbara's house at all posted hours (Thursday, 12-5, Friday, 10-5, Saturday, 10-5). Let us know in advance if you can't make it then or want to make a special arrangement. Information is below. Barbara White French's cell number is 201-741-2599.
   
   
8. Dress Code: We are hoping for an informal weekend. However, the country clubs will require jackets for gentlemen and no denim for anyone.
   
   
9. Finally, don't forget to call your old friends and make sure they are coming, too. The committee is having a great time reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. This event is going to be terrific, so please don't let anything keep you away. Thank you for helping us to make this, literally, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
