Ridgewood High School Class of '60 Reunion Committe
Holds Another Successful Meeting!

And this one was in sunny Florida!  See the pictures in the Gallery section for the names and faces of those who attended and enjoy looking at your fellow alumni.  Yes, we are older, but boy! we aren't old.  The Ridgewood High School spirit and comraderie are still there.  And that foretells a super reunion.

More progress was made at the meeting.

WE NEED DONATIONS TO HELP DEFRAY COSTS!  PLEASE EMAIL US VIA THE CONTACT US SECTION.  AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR DOING YOUR PART TO HELP MAKE THIS A SUCCESS.

Barbara Schank Churnell was given a huge round of applause for finding virtually all of the Class of 1960 alumni - over 400 of us.  There are still a few who we need to confirm and she will continue to work on that.

For those of you whose email addresses we have, we will be contacting you with a straw questionaire.  The questions should be answered with your best estimate now.  You will not be held to any of it, but the country clubs, etc. need an approximate number.  Your help will be appreciated.

And for fun, we will be asking you to tell us your favorite home address in Ridgewood.  Barbara White French who is a Realtor will research the sales history of the address so you can find out the value of it now.

There will be loads of great activities for us to enjoy throughout the celebration weekend.  Plan to join us and hook up with old friends.  We will all benefit from the comfort of old friends and shared experiences.  Tuck away the dates - Sept 23rd through 26th, 2010 for your refreshing visit to the past.

Volunteering ? Please email Sybil at sybilab@aol.com or
Barbara White French at bfrench269@aol.com .  And thank you!

Financial Report: Sybil Kasschau AB read Rick Fairlamb's accounting of the financial status, as he was called out of town.  It became obvious that we need to appeal to our classmates for donations in order to pull off the quality reunion that we all deserve.  Please help in any amount that you can and many thanks to those of you who have already donated the much needed dollars.  Contact Rick Fairlamb at RFairla@sl.Universalservice.org for more information.

Alumni Database:  Thanks to Barbara Schank Churnell we have found many, many of you.  It's wonderful and gratifying to see the interest you all have.  There are 399 names of the class of 1960 on her lists:  313 names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails have been confirmed.  For another 16, we have information but are still trying to confirm or correct it.  There are 37 deceased classmates.  There are 33 that we still need your help finding.

Sarasota Ridgewood High School Reunion: Sybil Kasschau AB, Barbara Schank Churnell, Ronda Carlough Roberts and Marjorie Mingione Grady attended an all-class reunion of Florida alumni in March.  Sybil reported that there were people from the class of 1939 there!  We urge all Florida alumni from the Class of 1960 to attend next year.  Sybil will keep you informed and you can email her at sybilab@aol.com

Decisions made:  Barbara White French led us to many important decisions - Dates and places of reunion weekend, committees needed and some chairpersons, we will have badges with pictures, we will have a Memory Book, next meeting will be in Seaside Park, NJ  August 19, 2009.  A lot more is in the works and we do need VOLUNTEERS (It has been loads of fun so join us!  You don't need to attend meetings) and we do need DONATIONS!  Support your RHS '60 reunion, friends.  You'll never regret it and always remember it.
