Ridgewood High School Class of 1960 Reunion
Minutes of the August 19th Meeting
 
Thanks to Barbara Schank Churnell and her sub-committee, we have located nearly every one of the RHS Class of 1960.  There are 338 found and confirmed (if your address, phone, or especially emails change, please let Barbara know at bchurnell@aol.com ), 2 found but unconfirmed, 15 missing, and 43 deceased.
 
For those for which we have physical addresses, you should have received a SAVE THE DATE postcard to hang on your refrigerator.  Very generously, Sue Sitarsky and husband Bill Wheeler, donated the entire project to the reunion.  If you did not get yours, please contact Barbara Schank Churnell at the above email address.  She will verify your address and get word to the Wheelers to send another.  They're gorgeous!
 
Good news -  It was decided that your Memory Book will be free if you attend both the Reunion evening (Sat. Sept 25th) at Arcola Country Club and the brunch (Sun. Sept 26th) at the Ridgewood Country Club.  Otherwise it will be available for purchase.  The price of the book is unknown at this point.
 
John Gabriel is looking into hotel vans and/or a jitney service to help people get from their hotels to the venues.  More to follow on that.
 
John McHugh has said there will be a tour of the high school available on Saturday morning and a blocked off area at the football game that afternoon.  If people want to go out to lunch together, he is looking into a restaurant for that.
 
Hopefully, none of the above information will have to be changed, but please remember that it might be.  Your committee is working very hard to bring you the best weekend possible.  It should be super!

All events are optional, ala carte, and priced at cost, so as many people as possible can join us and enjoy old friends from the Ridgewood High School Class of 1960.  Mark your calendar, salt away some dollars, and the value to you will be tremendous!

Start Planning for the Time of Your Life!
 
Ridgewood High School's Class of 1960 is going to have a blast in Ridgewood in late Sept / early Oct of 2010 and you will benefit in so many ways by renewing old friendships and really feeling the strength of the base we shared!  We are finding that some of our friends have had distinguishing careers - opera singers, company presidents, attorneys, judges, etc.  Others of us have produced outstanding children who are indeed changing the world.  We all have stories to tell and listening to do.  Our Class of 1960 Reunion will enrich each and every one of us.
 
Already our Ridgewood Class of 1960 has begun donating to help defray costs and help those of us who might not otherwise be able to come.  We hope you will add what you can to our donations. That alone will give you a good feeling. See the News section of the website for instructions. 
 
Talk up the Ridgewood High School Class of 1960's reunion!  Plan on it!  Come and enjoy it!  You can't lose!  It will be a winner.  More specifics will be available after our May Committee Meeting.
